Q: I’m a single mother, my daughter is 9 years old. The father and I were never married, but we do have a joint custody order from 2016. The father of my daughter filed an enforcement court order saying that I’m not allowing him to see our daughter, we have a court date on December 11, I don’t know how to prepare for it. I moved to CT from NY two years ago with our daughter for a better life for her, the father knew all along. From then I brought her a few times and he couldn’t see her, he only calls her and talk to her in her ipad, but never showed interest on seeing her, he would tell our daughter to let him know when she goes to new York, that is it!
A: What evidence you’d gather depends on what you have to prove your attempted facilitation of the visitation. Generally items like e-mails, texts & audios come into play in situations like this. You should schedule a consult with a Westchester Family Law Attorney for a full assessment.
