Q– My daughters father is responsible for tuition. We are divorced. HE wasn’t paying school allowed it. My daughter graduated as in walked in the graduation but didn’t vet diploma. Couldn’t attend college BC no transcripts. He still has yet to pay. My 2nd daughter with him a senior now will.be in same situation. School allowed her to attend with this outstanding debt looming unpaid as well as what she’s accruing to.the debt. Which he’s yet to pay. What can I do. Can I get transcripts, is there some action I can take for them allowing this to happen.

A-If he’s responsible per the divorce settlement, then you’d need to file a Violation petition & ask that he be held in contempt for violating the order/divorce judgment. The Judge also has the power to order him to reimburse the fees you’d otherwise pay to retain a lawyer. Schedule a consult with a Bronx Child Support attorney for a full assessment.
